August, that time of year in Michigan when summer vacations start winding down, school supplies go on sale, and Ox Roast Day brings Clarksville the best day of the year!
Please join us every year on the 2nd Saturday of August for hotcakes in the fire barn, a parade through town, Main Street Market vendors, and a full schedule of games and exciting activities, including a car show, tournaments, and much more!
These activities are enjoyed in anticipation of family dinner, Clarksville style. Just before 5pm a line starts to form, and quickly runs down the block, at the serving of the “Ox Sandwich.” There is nothing quite like a community grabbing a seat on Main Street to enjoy dinner together.
